This layout came together so easily using the fabulous "seed packets" and journal blocks on the May Flowers paper.

I created a flower cluster adding antique bronze leaf charms and brown charming bouquet pin and a Laughter Charming Word embellishment which serves as my title.
Added gorgeous my2angels gardenias and cherry blossoms

Graphic 45 Secret Garden layouts

Hi Everyone.

Tina here today,
playing with the gorgeous Graphic 45 Secret Garden Papers, creating two simple, yet appealing layouts.

For the first, I whitewashed the background paper inside my frame to soften it a little.  Do this by using watered down paint, or apply your paint with a wet sponge. (Gesso also works for this if you thin it down a lot with water.)

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

The Twiddleybitz chipboard leaves were inked to achieve a two-tone effect and the gorgeous flowers were layered amongst the large filigree flower and charms.

I cut the gold flower chain into single flowers, adding them here and there and embellished the pennants with gold rhinestone cup chain.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

The chipboard banners were covered with patterned paper.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

To make the edges of the banner 'pop', ink them with a contrasting, yet coordinating ink.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

I made this second layout with some of my scraps, using a sheet of cardstock as my base. Combining several Glimmermist colours and a Twiddleybitz Chicken Wire stencil, adds some shimmer and sparkle to the cardstock base.

To get a more subtle effect, hold your mist bottle further away from the paper when spraying.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

Lots of fussy cutting and layering of pattern paper flowers give the layout all the interest it needs.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden

Don't forget to put some of the fussy cut flowers up on pop dots to give your arrangement some dimension.

Basic Brights and Bright Splatters Collections

Next up in our Charming Dates Bottle Caps collections, we're keeping it simple with 2 funky, colourful and fun collections for both genders. Just the thing to catch your eye or make a bright statement.

The "Basic Brights" collection has a range of catchy sayings that will look great on any layout or card. How perfect would they be as the centre of an embellishment cluster? Or as the main feature on a card?

With the "Bright Splatters" Collection, you will never be without a simple, personalised date embellishment. We've got all the primary colours covered, with black for all those other occasions.

Simply pop the date on a bit of coordinating paper and attach to your bottle cap. Unfortunately the glossy sealant that keeps the bottle cap in one piece can't be written on directly - but it is child's play to add some sticker, chipboard or metal numbers to finish it all off.

Introducing .... Charming Dates

As mentioned yesterday,
I'm guilty of not recording journalling on many of my layouts - sometimes not even the date!

I find that the 'artificialness' of even a simple date stamp is often enough to interfere with my artiness - so to counter this, we've created the perfect "date" embellishment - unique, functional and arty!!

Our new "Charming Dates" collection come in a range of styles/themes.

To start with - we're introducing our Grunge and Floral Date themed Bottle Caps.
 (more releases tomorrow)

Each bottle cap is hand-made, available in packs of 5 and come with co-ordinating blank date strips to record your date and add to your bottle cap or project.

Grunge "Charming Dates"

Embellished with chicken wire, charms, mesh, cogs and various grunge elements.
Perfect for all those masculine, vintage or grunge layouts.

New Release "Title" tiles

My name is Tracy, and I'm guilty of not recording journalling on many of my layouts - sometimes not even the date!

We all love the arty and creative side of our hobby/addiction - and many of us get side tracked by it ,as we gleefully get ourselves and our creative areas ink-stained and covered in fancy papers and products, even failing to be able to recall the colour of the tabletop (and sometimes the carpet) underneath!

While loving it, many of us struggle to record and preserve the memories that are the driving force and inspiration behind our arty euphoria.

I have become determined to record some of the important details in my scrapping ...

So this week, we are focusing on Journalling and Titles - with new releases of my2angels "handmade" designs.

Titles are also something that can be a struggle for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one!

To help with this, we have two new tiles available:

"Remember this Moment" in 4 colours - Black, Fuchsia, Purple, and Green on a white tile, with metal flower, and silver key charm.

"Happy Memories" in 4 colours - Black, Fuchsia, Purple, and Green on a white tile, with mulberry paper flower and silver heart charm.

Add them to your projects and you've got your title covered.

They are available now in the my2angels charming tiles here.

See you tomorrow with the next new release ... focusing on "Dates"

Charms make ATC's a little bit special....

Hi there,
Michele here again with another set of ATC's.

I regularly participate in an online ATC swap with a few other like-minded ladies. We swap our little pieces of art every two months, and each time there is a different theme. This time, for April/May the theme was Travel, and nothing adds a special touch to an ATC like a dangling charm.

As you can see, each one is slightly different, but the each is made part of a set by the use of the same elements. I made this set of four using Inkssentials ATC's Black Surfaces and the papers from the Kaisercrafts 75c Collection - the background from two sheets of mottled blue and cream paper from the 6.5'' Paper Pad and for the stamped images, a sheet of Pound. The stamping is done using Stazon Jet Black ink and Sepia Archival ink, and all are tied up with a piece of Charcoal Black and White Bakers Twine.

In the centre making my photo look pretty is an Antique Bronze Compass Charm

Artist Trading Cards

For ''Discover Life'' I used a Silver Clock Tower Charm and matching tiny photo of Big Ben,

Artist Trading Cards

for ''Gypsy'' a tiny Silver Passport on the background of the Eiffel Tower,

Artist Trading Cards

for ''Magical Adventure'' a Silver Eiffel Tower, again on top of a photo of itself, and

Artist Trading Cards

for ''Adventure'' a Silver Camera over Tower Bridge.

Artist Trading Cards

Here's hoping the ladies in the swap like them....I'm looking forward to seeing what they have done for me :)

Mothers Day cards and drop a hint to hubby!!!

Mother's Day Cards

Using Twiddleybitz Cards as my base for both cards

I stamped each card with my Kaisercraft Script stamp

then sprayed with glimmer mist and standing my card up right so the mist would dribble

next using my hot glue gun I scrunched up some tulle and attached to the centre of my card (we have a range of tulle here in our haberdashery section)

Mother's Day Cards

Adding our border filigree for the base of my flower arrangement
and embellished with Tangerine Cherry Blossoms

then lastly, our Brown and Silver Mum Charming Chain

I only used the chain and "mum" pendant which I gave a wipe with Timber Brown Stazon Ink to match the brown theme

Mother's Day Cards

On this card the base is the same technique as above.

Mother's Day Cards

On top of the pink tulle, I used 2 of our pink rhinestone hearts (the two smaller ones).
the smallest was cut into two and tucked in behind the tulle

The middle size heart was left on the clear acetate backing and cut around then glued using Dimensional Magic to adhere (and a few heavy books placed on the top while it adhered ... wasn't going to risk using my hot glue gun on such a small width of acetate  - I have enough blister from the glue gun!!!)

Then a silver brass round filigree was placed at the top with a 23mm deep pink mulberry flower and our Pink Mum charming chain to dangle down

then to finish off a simple but pretty card a little swipe with my finger of Candy Pink Stickles over the tulle

Mother's Day Cards
