Twiddleybitz Shadow Box

Using the Kaisercraft 75cent paper Collection I have created this frame using a Twiddleybitz Shadow Box

To start with, I covered the front border and inside piece with Kaisercraft 75cent Sovereign

Ink each of the inside pieces of the frame with Black Soot Distress Stain. 

All Tim Holtz Inks, Stains & Blending Tools will be back in stock when our order arrives Tues/Wed this week

Glue the 4 side pieces and "wipe" Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the outside frame then using your ink blending tool, blend more Vintage Photo on the outside which will give you a dark and light ink colouring

Cover the back inside piece with Kaisercraft 75cent Sovereign

Then more ink I blended Black Soot Distress Ink on all edges of the frame.  

On some corners and edges, I added ink directly from the pad to create more intense black inking.

Tie bow on the front bottom of frame with black scalloped organza ribbon

Now add brown gardenias, green moss cherry blossoms, brown stemmed flowers and black & White stemmed flowers and of course as always add some charms, I used silver leaf charms to add to the floral theme

Cut out some of the butterflies from Kaiser 75 Cents 12 x 12 Gloss Specialty Dollar

and attach to our black steel beading wire with wonder tape or hot glue gun and secure amongst the flower cluster so they are "flying" out of the garden and frame

On the inside of the frame add our large butterfly filigree and with foam tape add another one on top of it and bend the wings out a little

I also added one of our smaller filigree butterflies to the top right hand of the frame

Now it is all very pretty BUT .... what is a girl to do when she is surrounded by so many yummy mediums and mists!!!!

So ..... I then covered EVERYTHING with Claudine Hellmuth Multi-Medium (ETA 19th Feb). Wait for medium to dry, around half an hour or so depending on the weather conditions.  

Then go crazy spraying with Guilded Gold Glimmer Mist and Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist

 and now you have a VERY pretty frame  with lots of gold and glimmer

Then for something unique

Cover the back of your frame with Black Soot Distress Ink.  When dry wipe over an area with Picket Fence Distress Stain.  When stain is dry, using a sharpie pen to write your birthday greeting.

and there you have it a card and gift in one :)

I don't really want to give up this frame, I love the shimmer of the glimmer mists used, but it is for a VERY good friend whose birthday is coming up ... perhaps I will just have to make another one for me:)
