Valentines Day Cards from the my2angels Design Team

Presenting the first ever my2angels Design Team Creations...

With only 2 weeks before the most Romantic Day of the year, the girls have created some beautiful and inspiring Valentines Day cards for you.

Here is Tracey's beautiful Valentines Day card where she has cut around the florals on Little Yellow Bicycle Love Letters Lipstick Floral / Grey Floral.
Also using , Little Yellow Bicycle Love Letters Love Ledger / Black Damask
Black Scroll Felt Heart
Silver Pin with Hanging Cup Chain
Adore Silver Rhinestone Word
Felt Bird

Corrina has gone with the stunning colour combo of Black, Red and White ...

For the butterfly Corrina inked it red then embossed with the cuttlebug script folder then lightly inked black to highlight the embossing
All the chipboard had dimensional magic applied to them after being inked. For the negative heart tile, inked, then crackle medium to finish it off.

Other products used are:
Carolee Creations Adorn It Pattern Paper
Black Velvet Ribbon with Silicon Swirls
Buzz and Bloom Chipboard - Be Mine
Making Memories Mistletoe Pattern Stripe
Red Velvet Ric Rac

And the same stunning colour combo from Wendy

Products used are:
Carolee Creations Adorn It Pattern Paper
Jewelry Box Chipboard Thickers
Red Embossed Felt Hearts
Black Velvet Ribbon with Silicon Swirls
Love the effect the Nightfall Core dinations Cardstock gives when used with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Script Texure. It is like it has been lightly sanded.

And lastly, 5 beautiful inspiring cards/tags from Taryn . She has explained in detail for you how she created these gorgeous cards.

For this card "together forever", I used a very plain, square design, to feature the beautiful felt heart. I sprayed the plain white cardstock base with glimmermist, then added layers of square paper, distressed and stitched around some of the edges, and trimmed the card with ribbons around the centre. I finished off by cutting the words "together forever" out of the LYB Love Letters pattern paper, and mounted them on the pink. This double-sided paper lends itself beautifully to rolling, as I did in the top right corner of the card.

Red Glitter Ribbon,Buzz and Bloom - that 70's alphabet
Black rhinestone flourish
Black cotton lace
Making Memories Spellbound Tiny Alphas, Glimmermist

This "love" tag was just for fun. I used a corrugated cardboard base, which I painted, and sprayed with glimmermist, Then cut scraps of paper, and wrapped them around the tag. I then stamped the word "love", and cut out some of the beautiful shapes from the paper to decorate the top. I finished off by adding a pink felt heart, and stitching on some lace, and distressed strips of paper.

This card is my favourite, on a striking black cardstock base. I have made a feature of the felt heart, by mounting it on a circle of black and white paper, cutting a circle out of the front of the card so the heart can be seen from both the inside, and outside of the card. The LYB die-cut paper makes it so simple, with the ready-made trim. I also love the look of the chipboard letters sprayed with pink glimmermist

Thank you so much ladies for your beautiful cards. I hope that they have you inspired to get over to your table and scrap :)

Back later in the week with some Back to School projects to share from the team

Take care

Have a fantastic and creative week

Fabric Fancies

Raspberry Ball Trim

Blue Ball Trim

Sweet as Cherry Pie Moms Ingredients - my Grandmother died a few years back and my uncle has just had her recipes published into a book and sent copies to all the family (large catholic family) it was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a long time. Apart from the recipes typed up, also included was Grandma's handwritten copies as well and throughout the book were photos of the family from her photo album.
So it got me thinking of making up a recipe book for both of the Angels of their favourite meals I make them (yeah sometimes I venture into the unknown room they call the kitchen!), include the basics and whilst not their favourites, meals that I cook on a regular basis. Cause there will be a time when I will let them go out into the big wide world on their own (or rather give them a big shove out the door LOL!). Oh yeah there is a point to that apart from the fact, it is another way to preserve memories, this Websters Pages is the perfect paper for the cover.
Okay moving on ...

And 6 different Carolee Creations Adorn it Alpha Stickers
eg

I had no idea how popular they are - already sold 1/4 of the stock that arrived this morning.

See you back here during the weekend with the first of the Design Teams Valentines Day projects Woo Hoo ... some very gorgeous and inspiring pieces
Have a great day

Fancy Pants Vintage Valentines Frame and more

Fancy Pants Vintage Valentines Pattern Papers was used on this beautiful frame that Brenda down in Tassie made up for me (thank you so much Brenda it is just amazing and it has taken me so long to choose what I wanted to create with it without spoiling the fantastic work you did making it!).

Products used:
Made with Love charms (inked with Timber Brown Stazon Ink)
Love Engraved Felt Hearts
Silver Pin with Pearls
Scrapware Love Fern Tree embossed through the cuttlebug with Script Texture Embossing Folder and sprayed with Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist
Brown Stemmed Flowers
White Organza Ribbon
Brown Chain with Rhinestones
Silver Love Rhinestone Word
Kaiser Clear Love Stamp on the tag
Up on the clouds I used the smallest silver rhinestone hearts and a few pearls with a felt heart

And speaking of Tassie, Julie gave me a beautiful cream lace some time back, have just been waiting for the right project to use it for. I put doubled sided tape on the back and scrunched it, attached to layout/bottom of frame then placed our pearls at random over it.
I also used our Burgundy Gardenias from the Romance pack and our Green Brown and Rose Mulberry paper leaves

Next project is for my DD. I made her a notepad cover, pen and a book mark

Carolee Creations Adorn It Sugar Stripes Pattern Paper
White Organza Ribbon
Pink and White Flower
Love Embossed Felt Hearts
Black Organza Ribbon with 2 Black Pearl Beads
Black Flower Rhinestone Chain
Love Key Charm
Wrapped around the pencil is Deep Pink Satin Ribbon with White Hearts

Close up of the book mark where I used a mega big paper clip :)

And for my DS I made him a box. Inside will be 10 notes and each one will be something I love about him.

Collage Press Knave of Hearts Witty Pattern Paper
Red Love Engraved Felt Heart
Cosmo Cricket Blackboard Shapes Cogsmo which I ran through the cuttlebug using the Script Texture embossing folder and inked it white around the edges
Love Charm tied with red organza ribbon
The 2 flourishes I created using a sizzix die. One in felt and the other I used acetate and put black kindy glitz dots on it.

Yipee the angels are back at school today ... oh the silence here is beautiful LOL

Have a great week, back on the weekend with some of the Design Teams beautiful Valentines Day projects

OTP Calender

OTP Calendar Challenge is one of the challenges for this month over at Aussie Girls Gone Scrapping. How could I resist doing another OTP (yeah yeah I know I still haven't posted the last house I gave a sneak peak of recently ... it is kind of finished ... well sort of)

I needed a calender for the office and so this was born ... its of somethings that are important to me ánd/or things to remember ....

Goes without saying ... FAMILY is important to me

My gorgeous and sensitive son ... if he isn't in the same room as his sister!

My adorable beautiful daughter ... sometimes!

The first item I ever sold was a lizard on ebay to a user by the name of Wendy3801 in November 2006 (sure it is 2005 thought)

HOME

PATIENCE ... I need to have more of it. Also left my smudge ink on the tag as a reminder to wait for things to dry before touching it!!! Probably should have done a smudge of kindy glitz as well ... forever touching the stuff to see if it is dry. I now try to use it late at night so I go to bed before making a mess of it with my fingers

Morning Coffee outside where I have a few minutes to myself to think ... (no we don't have an apple tree but I have been wanting to use the apple charms since I got them in ... wish we did have one though would save some money LOL)

Its important to me to have unique items on the website

Goes without saying my scrapbooking area - this is a very very tidy version of it LOL

There are 5 more challenges up on the site so if you wanna try somewhere/something a bit different pop on over and see us Aussie Girls Gone Scrapping
Amanda is also organising a RED swaps for this month, would love to see you join in

Fancy Pants, Cuttlebug and more in store

Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine Pattern Papers Range is now in stock – just in time for your Valentines Day projects. Also a few Maya Road Pins, Graphic 45 Playtime Collection cuttlebug embossing folders and as always a few new scrapware chipboard items. You can find them all in the new arrivals sections

Finally I found a moment to use our new buckles on a layout. I went with the silver pin and hanging cup chain for my “Too Cute” layout (terrible photo sorry)

I used our black lace (3mm double sided tape on the back) and our 2cm wide white organza ribbon (I piled on the glue stick and scrunched it up)

Also got to use our new American Crafts Embossing Powders, I have only done this technique once before many many moons ago so I am still learning this process (hence why some of it is a little dodgy LOL). I love the look of the silver powder on the black chipboard letters. Our silver rhinestone flourish was used above the flower but also on the edges (just cutting up sections of it)

White gardenia flowers and applied black kindy glitz to part of it.
Also used
Burgundy Hydrangea Flower
Coloured Pin
White Tag
Black and Grey Flowers
Black Butterflies and Flowers Felt Ribbon
Tutu Silver Charm
Pink and Black Mulberry Flower centered with dark pink plaid fabric brad
Pattern Papers are Little Yellow Bicycle with Coordinations Cardstock

Back in a couple of days with my Aussie Girls Gone Scrapping layouts for this months challenges
TFL, take care and have a great day
